Special sing-a-long screenings have been made of the hit
Abba tribute film Mamma Mia, pulling in lines of
Abba fans determined to belt their way through the movie with stars Meryl Streep and Pierce Brosnan. Many of the fans are so dedicated that the sing-a-long represents their second or third viewing of the
Abba film.
The special
Abba sing-a-long can be found in the Odeon at many locations at regular prices. The lyrics are displayed across the bottom of the screen in a karaoke style, creating a fun and vibrant atmosphere when at the cinema.
This innovative take on the best selling musical of all time has been received rather well. Sarah Ainsworth, 37, and her daughter Amy, 13, from Priorslee were caught up in the action, the mother being a fan the first time round.
"It's the third time we have been and we just love it," said Sarah. "It really lifts your mood and you feel great when you come out of the cinema. We will probably be back again and the sing-a-long just adds to the fun."
Mamma Mia includes the worldwide
Abba hits such as Dancing Queen and Thank You for the Music, and is popular with children and adults of all ages.
